Key Highlights Spots in the Trip
- Lau Shui Heung Reservoir
- Kam Tin Mural Village
- Tuen Mun – Chek Lap Kok Tunnel
First, we gather in Kowloon Tong at 10 am and going to the shuttle bus!
We rent shuttle bus so we can enjoy the AC while travelling to different checkpoints. It's really hot that day.
One tour guide - Benedict (who can speak English) also introduce the history of those checkpoints during the trip.
Lau Shui Heung Reservoir
"Situated within the Pat Sin Leng Country Park in the northeastern New Territories, the Lau Shui Heung Country Trail is famous for its scenic reservoir as well as its large population of butterflies living in the area. Lau Shui Heung Reservoir is a more understated and quieter location from which to enjoy the serene beauty of nature without too many hordes of hikers jostling for photo ops." - from Google
We are heading to the Lau Shui Heung Reservoir, hiking around 15-20 minutes.

Kam Tin Mural Village
"The walls of this rural village have become a canvas for a community of students. There are many wall drawings and a modern market nearby, selling drinks and accessories to customers.
Tuen Mun – Chek Lap Kok Tunnel
"The TM-CLKT provides the most direct route between the Northwest New Territories and Hong Kong – Zhuhai – Macao Bridge (HZMB), the Airport and North Lantau and also an alternative route to the Airport." - from Google
Due to pandemic, we cannot see the airplane in this checkpoint. Hope next time we can go there again!
After the 3 checkpoints, our shuttle bus goes back to Kowloon Tong and drop down.
The heavy rain starts right after we get off the bus. Luckily, it didn't affect our trip!
